Lazy Fifty’s music harks back to the classic British rock of the 70s, enhanced with a healthy dose of funk, rocking rhythms and impressive guitar.
My Hand is a banging rock number inspired by popular Netflix series Peaky Blinders. The video for My Hand pays homage to the series while at the same time being as kiwi as they come, shot on location in Lazy Fifty’s home town Gizzy. Check out the video here https://youtu.be/fztemz5Lbuw. Another song on the album was also inspired by Peaky Blinders, the haunting instrumental Polly’s Lament, a tipping of the hat to the late Helen McCrory (Polly) and Adrian’s favourite song on the album.
2021: A LAZY ODYSSEY is an album of wonderful contrasts with the instrumental ‘Polly’s Lament’, ubiquitous classic rock anthems ‘Wait For Me’, ‘Perdition Dance’, ‘My Hand (Peaky Blinders)’, ‘Pretty As A Flower’ and ‘No No No’, the heavier System of Down-esque ‘Falling In To You’ with interesting time changes and blues rock number ‘I Don’t Know Who I Am’.
